GoBoot is the world’s first open-source smart boot designed to help people with Parkinson’s fight freezing of gait—a sudden, common, and often dangerous inability to move.
Created in collaboration with engineers, doctors, footwear designers and people living with Parkinson’s, GoBoot reimagines mobility support as something intuitive and empowering—this isn’t distant utopian tech, it’s a wearable solution designed for everyday use.
Perhaps most importantly, GoBoot was developed to be open-source. As a team of five, our goal was not to launch a medical device but to spark something bigger—to push innovation for the millions living with Parkinson’s. GoBoot proves that when technology, creativity and humanity come together, we can reimagine Parkinson’s treatment and fight the freeze together.
